Mt. Cayabu and Mt. Maynoba and Its Eight Waterfalls
1:06 AM
It's the second month of the year, and so far I am keeping up with my OMOM challenge. Does it get any less thrilling than the first climb? Absolutely not! I mean, each mountain has a lot of things to discover and experiece
Reaching the summit isn't the only adventure we've had during the trek, as we descend water flows together with us. What am I talking about?
Apart from witnessing the sea of clouds from Mt. Maynobas's summit, the trail below was made a lot more exciting by the presence of waterfalls! Yeah, like eight of them.
The cool fresh water will surely soothe your tired feet, and revitalize your senses.
We'd like to cover all of the falls but some of them are quite harder to reach. We just decided to wave the white flag because we were too dead to make it through.lol
Ending it with this prosperous cornfield.
There you have it, second mountain of the year!

And so, the story telling continues...
Commuting to the mountain could be a challenge especially, if you are after the sea of clouds. There's scarcity of public transportation, and there's no guarantee you will be able to get a hitch when one comes. The ideal time to witness the sea of clouds is during sunrise. Therefore, it is best to rent a private vehicle to make it on time. That's exactly what we did. We decided to meet up at around midnight to make sure we are there in time.
We arrived at around 2:30 AM, and we were the first to ascend at 3:00 AM. Since we were a big group (10), they recommended for us to get two tour guides. One is to lead the way, and the other (sweeper) going last. It's still dark (obviously lol) and there isn't much to see except from the illuminated path our lights could reach.
It took us around 2:35 mins to make it to the summit, which means we were there at 5:35. Just in time to relax while waiting for the sunrise.
I would have wanted to provide visuals while we are on our way, but there isn't much to see but a complete darkness.lol
But, as soon as the sun had risen camera shutter went into play.p
So here it goes!
